Today's Lesson- Color Blocking

A lot of women are afraid of the color blocking trend, especially in the work place. The best way to think about  it is to buy pieces in bright solid colors (try not to invest in too many pieces that are already color blocked) and mix and match them. Most of these colors are classic brights, so they will retain their fashionability once the trend is long gone. Rule of thumb- pick two or three bright colors and mix them with black or neutrals.

  1. Here's what I like about your blog (other than your sense of style!). You fashion is really affordable - you're night like here's a Nannette Lapore jacket for $300, or a blazer from Nordstrom's that's $250 - it's from Kohls, Target, etc. - places that really are affordable and have great fashion

    1. Thank you, Kerry! That's definitely the point, anyone can look great without spending a lot of money, and there's are ways to inspect the quality of pieces you are buying to ensure that they will last for a long time- just because an item is inexpensive doesn't mean it has to be poor quality. I plan to post about that in the coming weeks
