Running Errands

I see this all too frequently- women running errands on the weekend, or even during the week, in yoga pants or sweats and a ratty T-Shirt. Maybe this was okay in college, but unless you actually just came from yoga (and trust me, as someone who does yoga at least 3 times a week I can tell) then, honestly, how hard is it to put on some jeans? You never know who you could run into while running errands- your boss, coworkers, family members, boyfriend/ girlfriend's family, an ex, a potential future employer (if you just had an interview), etc. Do you really want to look like you just rolled out of bed and haven't showered if this happens? I didn't think so. Here's what I wore to run errands on weekends last fall, winter, and one rainy spring day (they're all very similar):

Fall 
Outfit details: Plain white long sleeve shirt- Old Navy; Grey boyfriend sweater- Forever 21; Black mini skirt- Forever 21; Black leggings- Love Culture; Grey ankle boots- Forever 21; Scarf- Payless.
Winter
Outfit Details- Mint shirt- Mossimo (Target); Grey boyfriend cardigan- Forever 21; Black skinny jeans- Love Culture; Grey leg warmers- Forever 21; Brown zipper boots- Bamboo (thrifted from Plato's Closet); Purse- Kenneth Cole Reaction (Ross); Scarf- World Market (made it into an infinity scarf (see below); Earrings- Target.
Temporarily make any of your scarves infinity scarves- just use 4-5 safety pins to secure the ends together and hide the fringe behind your neck, under your hair (I know this is easier for people with long hair).

Spring
Outfit details: Tunic- Forever 21; Grey boyfriend cardigan- Forever 21; Grey leggings- Love Culture; Boots- Bamboo (Charming Charlie); Scarf- World Market; Watch- Nixon.
Putting together these outfits was simple and took no time at all (and clearly, I wear pretty much the same thing to run errands regardless of the season). No more excuses, unless you are coming directly from the gym, wear normal clothes when you run errands!
